DamienM > 2/9/2005 Sunrise shines on The Tetons , Grand Teton National Park, WY This is a shot from the Snake River Overlook (yes, the site of the famous Ansel Adams image) right at dawn. I headed out at around 5:30am and got to the overlook well before sunrise so I had plenty of time to get ready. Right from the start I was cursing my negligence in ot bringing my tripod as when I got there it was still dark enough to need one but there was some mist rolling down the valley formed by the Snake river. With the cold poor light my hands were not steady enough for the shot, but hey you live and learn. I the end just as the sun broke the horizon behind me I was able to use my backpack on the wall in front of me as a steady enough platform to make four images that I was able to stitch together in Digital Image Suite 11. The only processing I did was to straighten, crop and adjust saturation and exposure. I also had some dust on the image sensor that I removed with the blending brush.
